SIG Security in Government 2009

The Protective Security Coordination Centre (PSCC), a Division of the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department, is hosting the 22nd Security in Government (SIG) Conference at Canberra’s National Convention Centre in 2009. 

SIG continues to be the largest conference of its type in Australia and includes an exhibition which Kaba sponsors. SIG 2009 will include a selection of international and national speakers, a number of panel discussions, information sessions and a trade exhibition that will deliver the latest developments in security technology.

Last year's theme was the Evolution of Security. The theme encompasses changes to traditional ways of defining and approaching national security; the broadening of the security environment; security implications of the changing electronic environment; the evolution of foreign policy as a tool for counter-terrorism and the evolving role of law enforcement agencies. The SIG 2008 program included:
