Identification |
The essential basis for all access control, time recording and shop floor data collection applications is identification. Identification means checking an object compared to the provided, clearly characteristic features - the identity. This identity, for example the identity of a person, can be checked by means of clear characteristics that correspond to the ones of a badge. For this purpose, we use chip cards, magnetic cards, smart cards, the RFID technology and biometric methods. The biometric identification uses individual, body-specific characteristics such as fingerprint, face or iris to identify a person. Kaba pushes the fingerprint method that has become the leading biometric method due to the high acceptance by the users. |
